Yangling is the home of Hou Ji, a legendary figure who was said to be the earliest agricultural official of the country back to 4,000 years ago.

In the legend, Hou Ji's birth is sort of like the Jesus. His mom mysteriously got pregnant after stepped on a giant footprint and gave birth to Hou Ji. He then became an agricultural expert and taught the local people how to grow crops.

The place where Hou Ji used to teach the farmers still exists in Yangling, and is known as "Jiao Jia Yuan"

 

 

 

2.Yangling water sports centres

Yangling water sports centres, due to the use of sports development funds set up a variety of national fitness pleasure, in Yangling District of Xianyang City. In open waters, a motorboat tour and seaplanes, in the shore, in addition to off-road karting, horse racing, archery, and other projects, but also from the Eastern Disneyland to introduce the "air walk", "Rockets bungee jumping," " Mine car "and a series of new entertainment projects.

 

 

 

 

 3.Science and Technology Museum

Science and Technology Museum was established in insects 1987, is China's first insect museum. It's construction and development has been the party and state leaders at all levels and departments of the higher level of attention and care. By the State Development Planning Commission, Ministry of Agriculture, the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government, the Yangling Agricultural Hi-Tech Industries Demonstration Zone and the Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University of Science and Technology invested 8 million yuan for the second phase project of insect museum building. The new museum in August 1999 completion, the area of 4500 square meters, is divided into the exhibition, most of the three collections and scientific research.

Exhibition: Exhibition is the largest and most types of insects on display, the exhibition highest level, financial knowledge, interest in entomology one of the popular science bases, it is also important patriotism education bases.

Favorites: all kinds of insect specimen collection at home and abroad, 1000000, is the collection of one of the largest museums. Entomology professional publications about more than 30,000 volumes, mainly for foreign-language journals.
